Brenda Wolfe

Brenda Wolfe

Owner/Instructor/ 32 years of Teaching Experience

Brenda started out on the East Coast as a dancer, studying in Boston, New York, and Rhode Island, fueling her passion for dance by studying under choreographers, dancing Broadway style. As a child, she participated in Kaleidoscope Theater, and was crowned Miss Rhode Island in 1984. Once on the West Coast, Brenda launched Leap of Faith Dance inside Living Word Bible Church and ran that program for 8 years before transitioning her studio to Balletto’s Dance Company which has now been in business for 19 years. Brenda now has an amazing group of instructors and gives them immeasurable credit for the thriving success of her studio.

Anthony Augusta

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Anthony started dancing shortly after moving to Michigan. There at the age of 9, he discovered the passion behind movement. With little to no professional training he began street performing and participating in talent shows and showcases around Marquette. Around the age of 17, Anthony moved to the state of Arizona where he begin training under the Elektrolytes’ founder and co-founder, Sal And Nico Banuelos.
Anthony has received many awards his most prized coming from Hip Hop International, where he received a bronze medal. He has also assisted in teaching hip hop classes at the Rise Academy, Day 1 Dance Studio, and Utopia Dance Studio. Anthony is currently teaching at his first full time teaching job (at the age of 20) at Balletto’s Leap of Faith Dance Studio.
His method of teaching is to be comfortable with yourself and to keep a non-judgmental environment to better student’s learning.
Cheryl Ayers

Cheryl Ayers

Ms. Cheryl began her dance training at the age of three and has studied all forms of dance.  She trained and performed with the Colorado Ballet under Lillian Covillo, Friedann Parker, Ulrikke Smitt, Kris Kehl, and Mikaslaw Morowski. During her twelve-year professional career, dancing as a soloist and principal dancer, she performed such roles as Carabosse & Jewels from Sleeping Beauty, Step-sister in Cinderella, and Dew Drop Fairy and Snow Queen in Nutcracker.

 

Ms. Cheryl loves to teach and has done so for more than 25 years. Her teaching career began at Miller’s Dance, while she was still performing. During that time she also choreographed, performed, and produced several High School and Community Theater musicals, including Grease, My Fair Lady, Music Man, A Chorus Line, The King and I, Oklahoma and Fiddler on the Roof. She subsequently taught at Hollywood Performing Arts Academy, Rhythm and Motion, Central Dance Academy, and Artistic Motion. She is currently an instructor at both Jeanne’s School of Dance and Impact Dance.  Her love for dance shows in her positive energy and commitment to inspire her students. She strives to further her knowledge through college level programs on kinesthetic alignment, movement, and body awareness. Ms. Cheryl eagerly anticipates her second season as Arizona Youth Ballet’s Assistant Artistic Director, and she is looking forward to working with the faculty and students of Balletto’s Dance Company.

 

 

 

Jacody Bullard

Jacody Bullard began his dance career at a young age and has been trained in ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical.  Since he was little, Jacody’s love for dance has continued to grow over the years and he now thoroughly enjoys choreographing and teaching anything that is asked of him.

Along with his award winning and nationally recognized choreography, Jacody Bullard has also showcased his talents in other ways.  He loves to sing and has been doing so for as long as he has been dancing.  Jacody is trained in speech leveled singing and has had vocal performance training.  He has been fortunate enough to be able to sing the National Anthem at sporting events, record a song for a charitable Christmas album and will jump at the opportunity to sing whenever he gets the chance and share what he has learned through his vocal training.

His love for both dancing and singing have been a blessing for him while performing lead roles in shows such as Warner in Legally Blonde the Musical,  Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Gideon in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and many more.  In addition to this, Jacody has performed professionally in shows for Showtune Productions and is always looking for new opportunities to challenge himself and grow as a choreographer, dancer and singer.

Jacody Bullard is ecstatic and honored to be a part of the Balletto’s staff and is thankful for everything that this opportunity has rewarded him!

Leah Hyson

Leah Hyson

Leah Hyson was born and raised in Gilbert Arizona! Growing up, Leah has studied dance in the valley since the young age of 2 years old. She is classically trained in many genres of dance from teachers all over the valley and West Coast such as Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Salsa, and Musical Theater. Miss Leah started assisting industry dance instructors at the age of 15! She has been instructing many styles of dance for the last 9 years to ages ranging from 18 months to 20 years old. Being awarded multiple regional and national titles and choreography awards over the years has been so gratifying to Miss Leah’s teaching career. Molding little dancer’s minds at a young age inspires Leah to further her own dance education till this day! Miss Leah LOVES all of her dedicated, enthusiastic dancers and would love for you to come join one of her classes today!
Zoe Maiden

Zoe Maiden

Zoё began dancing at the age of 9 years old and fell in love with it from the start. She has received versatile training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, musical theatre, and hip-hop. Zoë has competed and won numerous high point awards and scholarships at competitions like New York City Dance Alliance, Co. Dance, West Coast Dance Explosion, Starpower, and more. In addition to competing, Zoё has performed in shows across Arizona such as Celebration of Dance, DancInspiration, and Race For the Cure, and has spent time as a company member in tap group, 24/7, Scottsdale Arizona Jazz Ensemble, and Phoenix Contemporary Dance Company. She has also been privileged to perform in a music video with Nickelodeon and Disney Channel star, Ashley Argota and has shared the stage with the “Queen of Rock & Soul” Patti Labelle. Along with performing, Zoё has taught at various dance studios around the valley and has had experience with dance therapy where she teaches those with disabilities how to dance. She has recently received her Bachelors Degree in Dance Education at Grand Canyon University. Zoë has a huge passion for teaching and loves inspiring others through the art of dance.

Heather Rhyneer

Heather Rhyneer has over 20 years teaching experience in the East Valley working with dance studios, dance companies and high school dance teams. Heather has judged for numerous dance competitions all over the U.S at a regional and national level. She specializes in Tap, Jazz, Musical Theater, Lyrical and Technique classes. Heather’s choreography has won numerous awards both regionally and nationally. Dancers that have trained under her expertise have won regional and national titles, numerous scholarships and many overall awards. Heather has guided many students into their professional dance career. These students have gone on to work on stage, in print, in arenas, on television and in motion pictures. Her students have performed all over the globe; California, Florida Las Vegas, New York, Chicago, on the open seas and as far away as Japan. Heather Rhyneer has a huge love for dance and dancers’ success both on and off the stage.

Stephani Szoke

Stephani has been dancing for over 38 years and is trained in all disciplines of dance.  She has a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Arizona with an emphasis in choreography and pedagogy. She is certified through Dance Educators of America (DEA) in all levels.  As a certified yoga instructor and registered with Yoga Alliance International, she incorporates yoga into her dance warm-ups. She was a Cardinal Cheerleader, a Cobra Charmer, a U of A Dance Ensemble member, and a company member of WZN Showtime now located in Miami, Florida. Stephani owns a Corporate Entertainment business along with her husband called POWERNOW ENTERTAINMENT LLC. Stephani is also the Artistic Director of “The Sunsationals” a senior tap company and teaches at various studios around the valley.  She has choreographed for the band CJA, the world premeire of “The Wager”, Pioneer Pepper of the Sunset Pioneers, High School dance companies, church performances and more. She has judged dance competitions and has been a Master Teacher for conventions.  She loves all her students at Balleto’s and is looking forward to another wonderful year!
